INGLEWOOD, CA — The LA Clippers continued their 2026-27 NBA preseason preparations on Wednesday night, securing a convincing 122-110 victory over the Denver Nuggets in front of their home crowd at the Intuit Dome.

In a matchup featuring two familiar Western Conference rivals, Los Angeles showcased pristine ball movement all night, dishing out 35 assists on 45 made field goals and putting six players in double figures. Rui Hachimura continued his hot start in a Clippers uniform, pacing the balanced attack with a team-high 16 points.

“Overall just having 35 assists, moving the basketball, attacking the paint, making the right play that’s how we have to play every night” Head Coach Tyron Lue said reflecting on his teams’ performance.

Denver took control early with an explosive 15-3 start. Jamal Murray led the charge with 9 first-quarter points, capped by a step-back three-pointer, while Aaron Gordon set an aggressive tone inside with a cutting dunk. The Clippers executed a methodical 18-3 run which was orchestrated by their bench unit and closed out the opening frame knotted at 24-24.

The second quarter was a high-scoring, back-and-forth battle featuring perimeter shot-making and physical interior play. Julian Strawther's perimeter shooting kept the Nuggets' offense afloat early in the quarter, knocking down three 3-pointers.

The Clippers countered behind the interior scoring of Derrick Jones Jr., who poured in 11 points driving to the basket and getting second-chance opportunities. Los Angeles rode that momentum to outscore the Nuggets 34-31 in the frame, taking a 58-55 advantage into halftime despite a buzzer-beating three-pointer from Jamal Murray.

Los Angeles asserted their dominance in the third quarter, pulling away with a high-powered perimeter attack and active defensive hands to outscore Denver 38-26 in the quarter. Rui Hachimura fueled LA’s early run with 11 points in the quarter, knocking down back-to-back three-pointers and capitalizing on aggressive drives to push the Clippers' lead into double digits.

Darius Garland controlled the tempo early, dishing out 4 assists in the quarter—highlighted by an alley-oop feed to Derrick Jones Jr. Garland finished with 7 assists alongside 14 points. Trevon Brazile provided nearly all of the Nuggets' third-quarter offense, scoring 11 points in the period. Los Angeles took a 96-81 lead into the fourth.

The Clippers closed out their 122-110 preseason victory behind a high-energy performance from their reserve unit, shutting down the Nuggets late push and maintaining a comfortable double-digit lead throughout the final period. Cam Whitmore kept the pressure on early in the frame, scoring nine of his 17 points in the fourth quarter.

Los Angeles responded to Denver's run with poised scoring inside and out. Baba Miller scored eight fourth-quarter points—including an alley-oop finish and a 27-foot three-pointer—before fouling out late.

With the preseason slate now wrapped up, Los Angeles will turn their attention to fine-tuning rotations ahead of opening night. The Clippers will look to carry its high-powered offensive rhythm and newfound bench chemistry into the regular-season opener on Wednesday, October 21, when they host the Sacramento Kings at the Intuit Dome.
