INGLEWOOD, CA  - Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams (3-1) have done it again with another come-from-behind victory, a thrilling 27-20, over the visiting Indianapolis Colts (3-1) at SoFi Stadium.

Stafford threw for 375 yards with 3 touchdowns, after completing 29 of his 41 passes. Puka Nacua had 13 catches for 170 yards and one touchdown, Davante Adams had 4 catches for 56 yards and one touchdown, and Kyren Williams had 13 carries for 77 yards.

The Colts' defense gave the Rams problems until they figured it out in the second half with the play calling.

“Really well-coached," stated Stafford. "I have a lot of respect for [Colts Defensive Coordinator] Lou [Anarumo]. I think he does a hell of a job, been up against him a few times, and he gives you a lot to look at at the quarterback position."

The Rams' defense got off to a good start in the first quarter when their safety Kam Curl intercepted a pass from the Colts' quarterback Daniel Jones intended for Adonnai Mitchell at their 20-yard line. Los Angeles would have to settle for a 42-yard field goal by Joshua Karty to take a 3-0 lead.

Indianapolis would tie the game 3-3 with a 52-yard field goal by Spencer Shrader after Jones drove his team downfield 18 yards on 5 plays.

Jones, in the second quarter, would take the Colts downfield for 45 yards on 9 plays, and would cap off the drive with a 2-yard touchdown run by Tyler Warren (TE) on fourth down, and the extra point was good by Shrader to take a 10-3 lead.

Puka Nacua would stretch out and catch a 31-yard pass from Matthew Stafford to set up a first down at Indianapolis’ 13-yard line for the Rams. The Colts’ defense would tighten up and hold Los Angeles to a 37-yard field goal by Karty to trail

Los Angeles, with 7 seconds left in the second quarter, would take the lead 13-10 at halftime with a 10-yard touchdown reception by Davante Adams after starting at their own 4-yard line, and went 96 yards on 13 plays.

Stafford in the first half completed 17 of his 24 passes for 174 yards and one touchdown, Nacua with seven catches for 112 yards, and Kyren Williams with seven carries for 55 yards.

The Colts had a golden opportunity to take the lead in the third quarter when their wide receiver Mitchell broke free for 75 yards, but fumbled the football before crossing the end zone for a touch back.

Indianapolis took the lead in the fourth quarter, 17-13, after Jones threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Michael Pittman Jr, and went up 20-13 with a 38-yard field goal by Spencer Shrader.

Stafford, one of the best in comeback games, connected with Puka Nacua to tie the game 20-20. Los Angeles’ defense did their job and got the ball back to Stafford, and with 1:33 left on the clock, threw an 88-yard touchdown to a wide-open Tutu Atwell, and the Rams fans went crazy, and celebrated the come-from-behind win 27-20.

Jones finished the game completing 24 of his 33 passes for 262 yards, 1 touchdown, and two interceptions.

The Rams will have just a few days of rest before their big game on Thursday Night Football against their NFC West rivals, the San Francisco 49ers (3-1), with first place on the line for both teams.
