10/19/20 Arlington, Texas - The Los Angeles Dodgers were down 3-1 in a seven-game series against the Atlanta Braves, came from behind to win three straight games, and last night 4-3 in Game 7 of the National League Championship to advance to the World Series.

The Dodgers never stopped believing in each other and credit their defense of robbing the braves of extra runs, and with great pitching left the Braves stranded on bases in scoring position. The Dodgers Julio Urius (2-0) pitched three scoreless endings, and Cody Bellinger delivers again for the Dodgers in big games.

Atlanta took a 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning after Marcell Ozuna singles to left-field and Ronald Acuna scored. The Braves score again in the top of the 2nd inning when Dansby Swanson hit a solo home run that made the score 2-0.

The Dodgers were trailing the Braves by two runs until the bottom of the third inning, when Will Smith singles into center field, and Justin Turner and Max Muncy both score and tied the game 2-2.

The moment of truth for the Los Angeles came during the bottom of the seventh inning, Cody Bellinger hit a monstrous home run over the right-field wall that gave the Dodgers a 4-3 lead.

The Dodgers manager Dave Roberts decided to stick with Urius, who was pitching great the last two-innings, even though Kenley Jansen was warming up to come in and close out the game in the bottom of the ninth inning.

"Kenley's has been great, he's been absolutely great, and we wouldn't be on our way to the World Series without him," Roberts said. "I just think Julio with rest, how he was throwing the baseball, in preceding days what we asked of Kenley as far as usage-wise, and riding the hot hand right there."

The decision Roberts made to allow Urius to finish the game paid off as he was able to get the Braves Albies, Swanson to ground out, and Riley to fly out for the final out for the Dodgers to clinch the National League Championship Title.

The Dodgers Cody Seagar was named the MVP of the game. He finished the series with five home runs and 11 RBIs and made some clutch defensive plays.

Mookie Betts coming to the Dodgers during the off-season this year made a big difference with his glove and speed in the outfield made some great outs to rob the Braves of extra runs that could have t change the outcome of the series.

"This is really the first time we've had our backs against the wall," Betts said. "All season we've been controlling games, controlling series and whatnot. Seemed like we were getting handled early on and we were able to get a hold of ourselves and start to fight back, and it just shows you the kind of group we have. Nothing's going to be easy, but we'll strike fast before you can even think about it, and that's what we did."
