49ers hold on to beat the Cardinals 36-26 at Home

11/17/19 SANTA CLARA, CA -The San Francisco 49ers rally from being down sixteen-points to beat the visiting Arizona Cardinals 36-26 to improve their record to (9-1) and first place in the NFC West. San Francisco's quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo completed 34 of his 45 passes for 424-yards 4 touchdowns and two interceptions. Deebo Samuel led the 49ers in receiving with eight catches for134 yards.

The Cardinals' quarterback Kyle Murray threw the football 33 times, completing 24 passes for 150-yards, and two touchdowns. Larry Fitzgerald caught five passes for 37-yards and 1 touchdown and Pharoh Cooper 3 passes for 35-yards and 1 touchdown.

In the first quarter, the Cardinals got on the scoreboard first after Zane Gonzalez kicked a 26-yard field goal to give them a 3-0 lead. Arizona increased their lead to 9-0 after Larry Fitzgerald caught a 5-yard touchdown pass from Murry, and the extra point failed.

In the second quarter, the Cardinals struck again after Murry found Pharoh Cooper and connected on a 5-yard touchdown pass making the score 16-0 after the extra point was good. The 49ers would score twice in the quarter, Dwelley 4-yard touchdown made the score 16-7, and chase McLaughlin kicked a 43-yard field goal as San Francisco trail at halftime 16-10.

The 49ers got their first lead of the game in the third quarter when Garoppolo connected with Dwelley again with a 5-yard touchdown that made the score17-16. The Cardinals would regain the lead 19-17 after Gonzalez made a 43-yard field goal.

In the fourth quarter, the 49ers took the lead back after Garoppolo threw a two-yard touchdown pass to Kendrick Bourne making the score 23-19. Murry would help the Cardinals take the lead back 26-23 after he scored on a 22-yard touchdown run.

Garoppolo marched the 49ers downfield to regain the lead again 30-26, after throwing a 25-yard touchdown pass to Jeff Wilson. The 49ers' defense put the nail in the coffin after the Cardinals attempted a Hail Mary lateral pass that hit the ground and defensive back D.J.Reed scooped the ball up and ran four yards for a touchdown securing the 36-26 victory as the Cardinals fell to (3-7-1).
