TCU Stormed Back in the fourth quarter to beat the Ohio Bobcats 79-72

12/15/19 FORTH WORTH, TEXAS - The TCU Horned Frogs had their hands full taken on the Bobcats from Ohio, had to rally the troops and come from behind in the fourth quarter to beat Ohio by seven-points 79-72 improving their record to (8-1) and (6-0) at home.


Jayda Woods led the Horned Frogs in scoring with 18 points, and Lauren Heard 20 points. The Bobcats' Amani Burke led her team in scoring with 26 points, followed by Cierra Hooks 15 points and Katie Barker 11 points.


The first quarter ended with the Horned Frogs leading 21-19, but the Bobcats were scrappy on defense, which was the main reason they led at halftime by three-points 41-38.

The Bobcats opened the third quarter with a 6-0 run giving them a nine-point lead 47-38. The Horned Frogs trailed by just three points 55-52 after pair of free throws from Woods, but Ohio responded by closing out the quarter with an 8-2 run and led 63-54 heading into the fourth quarter.


In the fourth quarter, TCU was downed 63-54 outscored the Bobcats 25-9, and Woods' 10 points in the quarter helped rally TCU to come from behind to secure their seven-point victory. For more photos from this game, the gallery is below this post. All the photos are by Presiliano Sheffield.
