12/18/20 LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Clippers are (0-3) in the preseason under new head coach Tyronn Lue hosted the Utah Jazz ( 2-0) and lost 125-105.

Tonight's game was the first home game for the Clippers after losing two preseason games to their cross-town rival and NBA Champions Los Angeles Lakers.

The first quarter ended with the Clippers leading 29-28 after a pair of free throws by Paul George. Patrick Beverly for the Clippers and Bojan Bogdanovic from the Jazz led all scorers with 8 points, followed by George with 7 points.

The Clippers led 35-29 in the second quarter after a three-point shot by Luke Kennard. Utah led at halftime by ten-points 58-48 after scoring 30 points in the quarter and holding the Clippers to 19 points.

The Clippers was trailing the Jazz 82-69, still playing catch-up, and couldn't get any runs going on offense, nor slow Utah's offense down. The Clippers trail the Jazz 90-78 at the end of the quarter, after a layup by Reggie Jackson.

During the fourth quarter, the Clipper began to gain some traction on offense when Amir Coffey made a three-pointer that made the score 105-90 with 7:48 left in the game.

The Jazz had back-to-back three-point shots by Miye Oni, which made the score 116-99, killed any hope for the Clippers to come from behind to win the game.

The Clippers went down by twenty-points 125-105, with George 16-points, Kawhi Lenard and Kennard 13-points, and Williams with 12-points. Lue and his coaching staff will have to be patient with all the pieces added to the roster, and the veterans will have to lead by example.

"With limited preseason games and time to work on chemistry, being off for a month, now it's time to get back to work," Lou Williams said." The veterans we have to do more communicating with the new players on the team."

Jordan Clarkson and Bogdanovic led the Jazz in scoring both with 20 points, Donavan Mitchell 15 points, and Mike Conley and Rudy Gobert both with 12 points.

The Jazz outscored the Clippers with second-chance points 17 to 5 and scoring in the paint 36 to26. The Clippers committed 16 turnovers and the Jazz 9 turnovers.

The Lakers will host the Clippers for the third time this season next Tuesday, December 22, to start the NBA regular season. #nba #laclippers #clippers #utahjazz #paulgeorge #losangelesclippers #tgsportstv1
