Trojans avenge earlier loss to Huskies beating them 62-56

2/13/20 LOS ANGELES, CA - USC Trojans' Nick Rakocevic scored 19 points and 9 rebounds, and Jonah Matthews 16 points, help avenged a 72-40 loss in Seattle back in January, by beating the Washington Huskies 62-56, which ended a three-game losing streak.

Jaden McDaniels led the Huskies in scoring with 19 points, and 12 rebounds, and Isaiah Stewart13 points and 11 rebounds. USC was without the services of Onyeka Okongwu out with a concussion. The key factor for the Trojans' victory, they only committed 6 turnovers in the game.

In the first half, Washington tied the game 9-9, after a monster dunk by McDaniels. The Huskies regained the lead back 16-15 after a basket by Raequan Battle with 9:44 left in the first half.

The Trojans took the lead back again after a pair of free throws by Utomi Daniel, which made the score 20-18 with 6:34 left in the first half.

USC led Washington by five-points at halftime 30-25, despite the poor shooting by the Trojans. USC made 9 of their 33 shots from the floor 27.27%, while the Huskies made 13 of their 29 shots from the floor 44.83%.

At halftime, there was a special ceremony for San Antionio Spurs, and former USC Trojans DeMar Rozan retiring his #10 jersey, which was hunged up with the other former USC's players jerseys.

In the second half, the Trojans led 34-30 after a layup by Rakocevic with 16:37 left in the game. The Huskies had their first lead in the second half 40-37 after a three-pointer by Nahziah Carter.

Both teams had gone ice-cold for about seven minutes before USC regain the lead 45-42 after Rakocevic made a jump shot with 6:27 left in the game.

Isaiah Mobley, who started in place of Okongwu had 10 points in the game, gave the Trojans a six-point lead 59-53 with 1:30 left in the game.
