3/10/21 PHOENIX, ARIZ - Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw took the mound on Wednesday evening at Camelback Ranch and gave up his first Spring Training home run to Arizona's David Peralta in the first inning. Kershaw hadn't given up a home run in the Spring since 2017.

"Felt fine probably wasn't as good as the first one, but I felt fine," Kershaw said about comparing his last start versus his start on Wednesday night.

"Nothing really changes with Spring, just want to make sure you're ready for Opening Day."

He remained poised throughout the rest of his outing as he finished with three strikeouts, gave up two hits, and walked one batter on 43 pitches. After three innings of work, Kershaw called it a night which allowed Kenley Jansen to make a guest appearance for an inning getting back-to-back strikeouts.

Corey Seager continued to amaze as he hit a two-run homer that lifted the Dodgers to a 2-1 lead.

With two on for the Diamondbacks, Peralta drove in his second RBI of the night off of Blake Treinen, as he grounded out to second, which allowed Daulton Varsho to score the tying run.

Bad defense by Arizona on a dropped pop-up allowed Luke Raley to advance to second base. Rangel Ravelo connected with confidence on a ground-rule double deep out to center that scored Raley for the winning run in the eighth inning.
