3/8/20 LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Lakers have redeemed themselves after two earlier losses to the Los Angeles Clippers by beating them112-103 behind the strong performances of All-Star Anthony Davis 30 points, All-Star LeBron James 28 points, and Avery Bradley 24 points.
Paul George was the leading scorer for the Clippers with 31 points, Kawhi Leonard 27 points, Montrezl Harrell 20 points, and Lou Williams off the bench who struggled shooting last night with just 7 points.
With the win, this is the first time the Lakers beat the Clippers in three games and ended the Clippers' six-game win streak. This game meant more to the Lakers and crushed any thoughts on if they could beat the Clippers.
The Lakers trailed the Clippers at halftime 53-49, despite being down to the Clippers by nine-points in the first quarter. The Lakers' Avery Bradley hot shooting in the third quarter, making 4 of 6 three-point shots, help give the Lakers the lead at the end of the quarter 85-81.
Some of the Clippers' role players Marcus Morris, scored only 1 point, JaMychal Green 2 points, didn't show up for tonight's match-up, and their turnovers were one of the reasons they couldn't get any easy baskets and stops on defense.
During the fourth quarter, the Lakers defense was really good as the Clippers offense was struggling with Lou Williams having a bad shooting night, his shots were just not falling.
The Lakers went on to beat the Clippers 112-103, and the question was answered who would step up for the Lakers in scoring to help James and Davis, and Bradley delivered leaving his mark in the game.
The Clippers' Reggie Jackson was second in scoring off the bench with 8 points. Patrick Beverly finished the game with 2 points 4 rebounds, 1 assist, and Ivica Zubac 5 points and 7 rebounds, will have to play better if they are going to beat the Lakers on April 9.
Next up for the Clippers will be a road trip going up north to the Bay Area to play the Golden State Warriors. The photos in the gallery below are by Nick Koza/T.G.Sportstv1.
