5/19/21 LOS ANGELES, CA - Clayton Kershaw (6-3) took the mound for the Los Angeles Dodgers looking to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks for the third time out of the four-game series. The Dodgers came from behind to beat the Diamondbacks 4-2

Kershaw went six innings for the Dodgers and allowed two earn runs, two hits, eight strikeouts, and one home run. The Diamondbacks' Matt Peacock pitched 5.1 innings, four hits, four hits, and one run.

The Diamonds led the Dodgers 2-0 in the top of the fourth inning after Eduardo Escobar hit a two-run home run over the center-field wall. David Peralta was hit by a wild-pitch by Kershaw and was safe on first base.

Peralta tried to steal second base, but the Dodgers catcher Austin Barnes threw a perfect ball to short-stop Gavin Lux, who made the tag for the final out of the inning.

The Dodgers trail the Diamondbacks in the bottom of the fourth inning 2-1 when Yoshi Tsutsugo hit a single and Max Muncy came home to score.

Kershaw got bailed out on a bad through to Max Muncy at first base, but the first base umpire ruled that runner Matt Peacock ran outside the base path, runners interference for the second out of the inning.

The Dodgers took the lead 3-2 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Will Smith hit a double down right-field that allowed Chris Taylor and Gavin Lux to score. Things over the last few games have gone the Dodgers way.

"You look back at some games in the last few weeks, we didn't kind of close the gap, or take the lead, or cash in when we had opportunities," said Dodgers manager Dave Roberts. "Like I said a few days ago, I feel like the tide has turned and we have some good mojo going on in our clubhouse."

Victor Gonzales came into the top of the eight-inning to relieve Joe Kelly, who held the Diamondbacks scoreless in the top of the seventh inning.

Kenley Jensen came in to close out the game and picked up his ninth save of the year. For more photos from this game, click on the link below. #ladodgers #diamondbacks #mlb #majorleaguebaseball #claytonkershaw #gavinlux #yoshitsuysugo #tgsportstv1
