5/4/22 LOS ANGELES, CA - Tony Gonsonlin (2-0) took the mound for the Los Angeles Dodgers, picked up his second win of the season, pitched five innings, and gave up three hits, one run, and five strikeouts beat the San Francisco Giants 9-1.

The Giants' starting pitcher Alex Wood pitched 5.1 innings giving up four hits, three runs, three errors, and seven strikeouts.

It was the lineup that Dodgers fans' vision with all the new members on the roster and firepower was finally displayed.

"I think collectively it was the best game we've played (offensively)," Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. "Just a well-played offensive game."

Brandon Crawford gave the Giants a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning with a solo home run over the right-field wall.

Alex Wood was doing a great job keeping the Dodgers from getting on base and scoring up to the fourth inning with the 1-0 lead.

The Dodgers tied the game 1-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning after Trea Turner hit a single into right field that scored Mookie Betts.

Betts gave the Dodgers a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the sixth inning with a home run over the center-field wall.

The Dodgers would score four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, starting with Gavin Lux's slow roller to the Giants' first baseman Wilmer Flores, and Max Muncy came home, making the score 4-1.

Betts would hit a sacrifice fly-ball to right field, allowing Cody Bellinger to score, and the Dodgers now led 5-1.

The Dodgers led 7-1 after Freeman hit a triple to right field, and Chris Taylor and Lux scored to end the inning.

The Dodgers' final score was 9-1 after Muncy hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning with Will Smith on base as the Dodgers swept the series. #mlb #ladodgers #mookiebetts #maxmuncy #giants #sanfranciscogiants #losangelesdodgers #tgsportstv1 #giantsbaseball #dodgersbaseball
