6/12/21 LOS ANGELES, CA - The Texas Rangers had not won a road game since May 6 in Minnesota. Jonah Heim and Nate Lowe hit two-run home runs to help the Rangers snap a 16-game road losing streak with a 12-1 win over the Dodgers on Saturday at Dodger Stadium.

"It's huge," Heim said. "Whenever you can get in the win column in the big leagues, it's always a good day. We're just excited we played a full team game today."

Left-handed Kolby Allard (2-2) held the Dodgers scoreless through five innings, giving up five hits with one walk and four strikeouts. This was Allard's first win in three starts.

In their previous eight road games, the Rangers had only scored 18 runs. They jumped on NL Cy Young award winner Trevor Bauer (6-5) with nine hits and scoring six runs. Bauer finished with eight strikeouts and two walks.

"I was a little bit shaky early on, fighting my command a little bit, and then I think I actually threw the ball pretty well," Bauer said. "As the season goes on, you're going to have outings like this. Things aren't always going to go your way."

Isaiah Kiner-Falefa reached first base on a fielding error by Mookie Betts and stole second base. Adolis Garcia hit an RBI double in the top of the seventh inning, but was out at third base on Joey Gallo's single.

After Gallo stole second base, Lowe singled to deep right field to score Gallo and give Texas a 2-0 lead in the third inning.

In the fourth inning, Texas took a 4-0 lead on Heim's two-run home run. They added two runs in the seventh inning before AJ Pollock helped the Dodgers avoid the shutout with a solo home run.

Orange County native Jason Martin hit his first Major League home run, and Lowe hit a two-run homer in the ninth inning to extend the Rangers lead 12-1. The Dodgers four-game winning streak came to an end.

The Dodgers will go with Walker Buehler (5-0) in the rubber match on Sunday. Dane Dunning (2-4) will get the start for Texas. For more photos from this game, click on the link below. #mlb #ladodgers #texasrangers #adolisgarcia #justinturner #tgsportstv1 #baseball #losangelesdodgers
