8/12/20 Los Angeles, Ca - After being with the Dodgers for six seasons, Justin Turner reach a Major Milestone despite losing to the San Diego Padres 6-2, hit a leadoff double of Garrett Richards in the bottom of the second inning to give him 1,000 hits.
If there had been fans at the game, it would have lead to a standing ovation for the third basemen who has become one of the most popular players on the Dodgers roster.
Instead, he received claps and cheers from his teammates and Dodgers' manager Dave Roberts. Being with the Dodgers for six years, he has appeared in one MLB All-Star Game, and two World Series.
Turner became the second player for the Dodgers in two years, to have1,000 hits in their career, the other Dodger was Manny Machado 1,000 career hits in August of 2018.
Machado, now playing for the Padres, rack havoc in the top of the third inning hit a Grand-Slam off of Ross Stripling to give them a 5-1 lead. Stripling pitched against the Padres in the series last week in San Diego.
Hopefully, Turner and the rest of the Dodgers can add to their World Series appearances and perhaps come away with the MLB Championship Title at the end of the season. #mlb #dodgers #justinturner #sports #baseball #losangeles #dodgerstadium #tgsportstv1
