Mookie Betts and the Dodgers Foundation Gives Back to the City of Compton

8/17/20 Compton, Ca - The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) and Mookie Betts' Acts Inspired by Mookie (AIM) teamed with the Pull Up Neighbors Community Event at the Compton Town Center to help give back to those in need.
This partnership was able to feed 27,500 people with food boxes, reusable face masks, hand sanitizers, and health screening to the Community of Compton to help fight the spread of Cov-19.
The event also provided over $28,000 in kindness-donations that included socks, water, and Dodgers' giveaways. With all the volunteers, there were plenty of smiles on the faces of the citizens of Compton.

The Compton Center will have voters registrations onsite to encourage Compton citizens to vote in the upcoming elections this year. This event was a blessing for the families that attended yesterday.
“I know people who have had the virus, and hearing different stories we have to do what we can to help. I, along with Pull Up Neighbor, want to help as many as we can with the essentials to stay healthy, as well with opportunities to register to vote,” said Mookie Betts.
The Pull Neighbor's team focus is on the health and well-being of those communities that have a lack of resources who need immediate and direct assistance across the country.
