Bills outlast Rams 35-32 in Second Half Shootout

9/28/20 ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - The Los Angeles Rams traveled to take on the Buffalo Bills and came up short at the end 35-32. The Rams came out the gate down 21-3 at halftime.

In the first quarter, the Bills led 7-0 after their quarterback Josh Allen connected with their tight-end Lee Smith on a 1-yard touchdown catch. Allen scored in the second quarter from 1-yard out to give the Bills a 14-0 lead.

The Rams got on the scoreboard after Samuel Sloman kicked a 30-yard field goal making the score 14-3. The Bills increased their lead to 21-3 after Allen threw a 3-yard touchdown pass to his wide-receiver Tyler Kroft.

Goff got the Rams on the scoreboard twice in the third quarter, after he scrambled into the endzone on a 1-yard touchdown run now trailing the Bills by eighteen-points 28-10. The Rams wide receiver Robert Woods caught a 25-yard touchdown pass from Goff, making the score 28-17.

In the fourth quarter, the Rams found themselves down by three points 28-25, after Goff threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Cooper Kupp. The Rams got their first lead of the game 32-28 when Darrell Henderson Jr. scored on a 1-yard touchdown run.

However, that score would hold up for just a moment after Allen drove the Bills down the field and ended the drive with a game-winning 3-yard touchdown pass to Kroft that made the final score 35-32.

Goff finished the game completing 23 of his 32 passes for 321-yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Kupp had nine receptions for 104-yards and one touchdown.


Henderson had his first 100-yard rushing game in his NFL career, carried the ball 20 times for 114-yards, and one touchdown.

Allen had a great day throwing the football for the Bills, completing 24 of his 32 passes for 311-yards, four touchdowns, and one interception.
