Oakland Raiders Outlast Indianapolis Colts 31-24

9/29/19 INDIANAPOLIS - The Oakland Raiders bounced back from a 31-14 thumping by the Minnesota Vikings last Sunday, held on to beat the Indianapolis Colts to win 31-24 at Lucus Oil Stadium.

The Raiders' quarterback Derek Carr completed 21of 31 passes for 189-yards and 2 touchdowns. The Colts' quarterback Jacob Brissett completed 24 of 46 passes for 265-yards 3 touchdowns and one interception.

The Raiders in the first quarter, got on the scoreboard first, when Derek Carr threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to Forest Moreau to take a 7-0 lead. Oakland struck again when Trevor Davis ran for 60-yards and a touchdown making the score 14-0.

Indianapolis responded with a touchdown of their own when their quarterback Jacob Brissett threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Jack Doyle as the Colts now trail 14-7.

In the second quarter, the Raiders increased their lead to 21-7 after Carr found Tyrell Williams on a 19-yard touchdown catch. The Colts' Adam Vinatieri kicked a 26-yard field goal that made the score 21-10.

In the second quarter, the Raiders increased their lead to 21-7 after Carr found Tyrell Williams on a 19-yard touchdown catch. The Colts' Adam Vinatieri kicked a 26-yard field goal that made the score 21-10.

In the third quarter, the Raiders' Daniel Carlson kicked a 26-yard field goal increasing their lead to 24-10. The Colts responded once again in the fourth quarter when Chester Rodgers caught a 4-yard touchdown pass from Brissett made the score 24-17 in favor of Oakland.

The Raiders' defense got into the scoring when safety Eric Harris picked off Brissett and ran 30-yards for the touchdown increasing their lead to 31-17.

Brissett and the Colts refused to give up, connected with Eric Ebron on a 48-yard touchdown pass that made the score 31-24 with 59 seconds left in the game, and the Raiders held on to win and improve their record to 2-2.
