2/22/20 LOS ANGELES, CA - The Sacramento Kings beat the Los Angeles Clippers for the second time this season at the Staple Center 112-103. The Kings' Kent Bazemore led his team in scoring with 23 points 5 rebounds, and Bogdan Bogdanovic and De'Aron Fox both scored 20 points.
The Clippers were without the services for Patrick Beverly (Groin), and Paul George (Hamstring). Kawhi Leonard led the Clippers in scoring with 31 points, Lou Williams 23 points, and Montrezl Harrell 16 points.
In the first quarter, both teams look sluggish on offense after the All-Star Break coming out the gate, with the Clippers trailing the Kings at the end of the quarter 25-13 due to poor shooting made only 4 of 21 shots.
The Clippers offense was better in the second quarter scoring 35 points, but still, trail the Kings by six-points at halftime 54-48. Bazemore had 15 points in the first half.
The Kings managed to keep the Clippers at bay leading at the end of the third quarter by five-points 88-83. The All-Star Break seemed to affect the Clippers' players more than the Kings' player.
Paul George and Patrick Beverly, in fourth quarters, have been clutch, and dynamic late in those quarters were miss in the final minutes as the Kings held on to beat the Clippers 112-103.
Reggie Jackson, playing for the first time for the Clippers, scored 8 points 2 rebounds, and 4 assists. The Clippers have lost three games in a roll, and with this loss, they fell to (37-19) and the Kings (23-33). The points in the paint 52-40 was also a key factor for the Kings' victory.
The Clippers will play this Monday against the Memphis Grizzlies, which will be an emotional day after the memorial service for Kobe Bryant, his daughter, and the others that were lost in the helicopter crash.
