Jordan Davis blocked field goal help Eagles come from behind to beat the Rams 33-26

PHILADELPHIA, PENN -  The Los Angeles Rams (2-1) let a golden opportunity to improve to 3-0,  and kick themselves after leading 26-7 in the third quarter, with three seconds left in the game, Joshua Karty's 44-yard field goal attempt was blocked by Jordan Davis (DL) and took it to the house for a 61-yard touchdown to seal the comeback victory for the Philadelphia Eagles 33-26.

Matthew Stafford completed 19 of his 33 passes for 196 yards with 2 touchdowns and one interception, Kyren Williams had 20 carries for 96 yards, and Blake Corum had 8 carries for 53 yards.

“I mean, we’ve all been a part of enough NFL games that the scoreboard doesn’t really matter until the end of the game," Stafford said. “We had our chance at the end of the game and it didn’t go our way.”

Puka Nacua led the Rams in receptions with 11 catches for 112 yards, Davante Adams had 3 catches for 56 yards and one touchdown, and Kyren Williams had 2 catches for 18 yards and one touchdown.

The Rams jumped out to a 19-7 lead at halftime with a 44-yard touchdown by Adams in the first quarter, a 10-7 lead, and three field goals by Karty, 28, 33, and with 10 seconds before halftime,46.

Kyren Williams would catch a 10-yard touchdown pass from Stafford to give Los Angeles a 26-7 lead in the third quarter.

Jalen Hurts and the Eagles would score twice in the quarter, first with a 33-yard touchdown reception by Dallas Goedert, making the score 26-14, and the second score, A.J. Brown's 9-yard touchdown reception, now trail 26-21.

Philadelphia's first lead came with 1:48 left in the game, when Hurts threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to DeVonta Smith, who now led 27-26 after going 91 yards on 17 plays.

Stafford would march the Rams downfield, setting up hopefully the winning field goal for Karty, but the line for the field goal unit allowed Jordan Davis to crash through the line and block the attempt, and he ran it back 61 yards for a touchdown, making the final score 33-26.

The Rams defense did a great job of keeping Saquon Barkley from running wild, and held him to 46 yards on 18 carries compare to last year in November ran for 255 yards, and the playoffs he ran for 205 yards.

Despite the slow start by the Eagles, and Hurts sacked four times, he finished the game, completing 21 of his 32 passes for 3 touchdowns,1 rushing touchdown, and A.J. Brown led Philadelphia in receptions with 9 catches for 109 yards and one touchdown, Smith with 8 catches for 60 yards and one touchdown, and Goedert 1 catch for 33 yards and one touchdown.
