Rams put the Titans away in the second half 33-16

NASHVILLE, TENN - The Los Angeles Rams improved their record to (2-0) on the road to defeat the Tennessee Titans (0-2) at home 33-16 with Matthew Stafford completing 23 of his 33 passes for 298 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.
“When we execute with the players that we have and the scheme that we have, we have a high probability of being successful,”
Stafford said.
Davante Adams would lead the Rams in receptions with 6 catches for 106 yards and one touchdown, Puka Nacua with 8 catches for 98 yards and one rushing touchdown for 45 yards.
Kyren Williams was the leading rusher for the Rams with 17 carries for 66 yards, followed by Blake Corum with 5 carries for 44 yards and one touchdown.
Cam Ward completed 19 of his 33 passes for 175 yards and one touchdown. Tony Pollard led the Titans in rushing with 20 carries for 92 yards, and Elic Ayomanor had four catches for 56 yards and one touchdown.

The Rams would strike first in the first quarter with a 45-yard touchdown run by Puka Nacua, and the extra point by Joshua Karty was good to take a 7-0 lead. The Titans would respond and trail 7-3 after Joey Slye kicked a 55-yard field goal.
Los Angeles would lead 10-3 in the second quarter with a 21-yard field goal by Karty. Tennessee’s defense had the first turnover of the game after Stafford’s pass intended for Tutu Atwell was intercepted by Cody Barton (LB) at the Rams' 46-yard line.

Moments later, Ward threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to his wide receiver Ayomanor to tie the game 10-10. The Titans would take a 13-10 lead into halftime with a 37-yard field goal by Slye.
Karty would tie the game 13-13 in the third quarter after kicking a 21-yard field goal. Tennessee would regain the lead 16-13 with a 57-yard field goal by Slye. Los Angeles would lead at the end of the third quarter after Stafford threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to Davis Allen (TE).

The Rams would put the game away in the fourth quarter with a 16-yard touchdown catch by Davante Adams, now leading 27-16, and a one-yard touchdown by Blake Corum, making the final score 33-16.
“I was pleased with the way we finished that game,” Rams coach Sean McVay said. “I thought we had really great command in the second half. That’s a really tough football team.”
