The Rams, on their first possession, were in the red zone after Bennett IV threw a 39-yard pass to Xavier Smith at the Cowboys' five-yard line. Moments later, Blake Corum ran into the end zone for a 2-yard touchdown to give Los Angeles a 7-0 lead, capping off a 79-yard drive on 11 plays.

Los Angeles recorded their first sack of the preseason in the second quarter, after Josaiah Stewart (OLB) chased down Joe Milton III (QB) for an 8-yard loss at Dallas' 24-yard line.
The Rams dodged several bullets after several pass interference penalties against their secondary, which had the Cowboys in the red zone.
However, Dallas's left tackle, Asim Richards, was flagged for back-to-back penalties lining up in the backfield and not on the line of scrimmage, and had to settle for a 35-yard field goal by Brandon Aubrey to trail 14-3. The Cowboys trail 14-6 at halftime after Aubrey kicked a 25-yard field goal.
Los Angeles would go 17-6 in the third quarter with a 37-yard field goal by Joshua Karty after the Rams drove 45 yards on 10 plays.
