INGLEWOOD, CA - The Los Angeles Rams were inspired by the Los Angeles Dodgers winning the World Series, and came out fired up and won their third game in a row after beating the New Orleans Saints (1-8) at SoFi Stadium 34-10.

“Happy for them, and we’ll see if we can continue to do some good stuff like they did,” coach Sean McVay said of the Dodgers. “They inspire me, and I know they inspire our group.”

Matthew Stafford continued to rack up touchdowns and threw 4 against the Saints while completing 24 of his 32 passes for 281 yards. Davante Adams caught two of Stafford’s touchdowns with 5 receptions for 60 yards,  and Puka Nacua, with 7 receptions for 95 yards and one touchdown.

The Rams got off to a great start on their first possession of the game, drove downfield 88 yards on 12 plays, and Matthew Stafford found a wide-open Tyler Higbee (TE), threw a 1-yard touchdown pass, and the extra point by Joshua Karty to give them a 7-0 lead in the first quarter.

The Saints’ defense began to put pressure on Stafford by sacking him for an eight-yard loss at the 50-yard line.

Puka Nacua would give Los Angeles a first down with a 15-yard reception at New Orleans’ 35-yard line in the second quarter. The Rams would go up 13-0 after Stafford threw a 3-yard touchdown pass to Davante Adams after going 66 yards on 11 plays.

The Saints' offense started to come alive with a quarterback-keeper for 29 yards by Tyler Shough. New Orleans decided to go for it on 4th and 1 at Los Angeles’ 16-yard line, but was called for a false start, and had to settle for a 39-yard field goal by Blake Grupe to trail 13-3.

Blake Corum (RB) continues to be a big spark for the Rams, and broke free for a 21-yard scamper to New Orleans’ 39-yard line to help set up the next play when Stafford threw a 39-yard touchdown to Nacua to increase their lead to 20-3.

Terrance Ferguson (TE) had a 36-yard reception late in the second quarter to give the Rams great field position at the Saints’ 29-yard line with 3:32 left on the clock before halftime.

New Orleans caught a break when Byron Young sacked Shough at their 32-yard line for a 9-yard loss, but was called for roughing the passer, and a first down at the Los Angeles 23-yard line.

The Saints would capitalize on the penalty and would trail 20-10 going into halftime after Shough threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Jwan Johnson.

Adams, in the third inning, would score his second touchdown of the game with a 4-yard touchdown reception to give Los Angeles a 27-10 lead.

Kyren Williams would help the Rams increase their lead to 34-10 in the fourth quarter with a 1-yard touchdown, and help Los Angeles (6-2) remain in first place in the NFC West, along with the Seattle Seahawks (6-2).
